Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Which Bullet lube for 41 Swiss?

#1 Post by KneverKnew » Wed Feb 12, 2020 7:59 am

I’m casting with the Lee 430-310 flat point mold using gas checks. I recently got an original RCBS Lubamatic Bullet sizer luber. The old box came with one tube each of RCBS Bullet Lube (for pistol?) and RCBS Rifle Bullet Lube. My precious loads with a similar purchased Bullet was doing around 1450-1500 FPS. My question is will the regular RCBS BULLET LUBE with a gas check installed, sized to .429, be adequate to prevent leading of my cast 310 grain bullets at those velocities? Or should I be using the rifle bullet lube?

I've had very good results with this Lube:

It is a direct replacement for the age old Red Rooster bullet lube that I've been using for decades.

Thanks. But I already have the two mentioned. Just need to know if the regular rcbs bullet lube will work as described.
