Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

M-1911 Long Rifle...

#1 Post by Tommy Fox Stone » Fri Feb 21, 2020 10:50 am

I pick up a M-1911 long rifle this week. All matching seral number there is a small swiss shield on the right side of the buttstock and GENEVE on top of the stock and ÇN just behind the trigger guard, no P mark on it...

Their great rifles and even better shooters. Yours may not have been farmed out to the civilian/ex-soldier hence the lack of the P mark.

Congrats! My 1911 is my most accurate Swiss rifle. I've got one of the Swiss Products bolt on mounts with a 6 power scope, but it is still more accurate than my K31 also with a 6 power scope. Fun to shoot too...................which means I'm quickly going through my stockpile of GP11 ammo.

My Swiss 1911's are really accurate.

I've got a number 1911's, including two sported 1911's. Because they had been sported, they were cheap as hell. I had one D&T'd because I wanted to see what a scope did for accuracy and didn't mind D&T'ing a sportered rifle.

It is ugly as homemade sin, but very accurate.

Even without a scope, this rifle is precise, probably more so with better eyes than mine. Here is the other sported 1911...
