Very nice rifle!!
My krag is a Danish model and is sporterized.
I, have to say, I, sure would like to have one like yours, a U S Military model
for my collection.
Again very nice Rifle

Very nice rifle. I own a full 1898 made in 1901 also, a cut down 1898 sporter that shoots as good as my full rifle.

I have purchased several rifles from Hampel's in Traverse City, but the Krag came through Gun Broker in 2012.

Nice rifle. Wondered if it came from Hampels as I saw 3 or 4 nice ones there last spring.

It shoots okay but it's not a tack driver. Like most Krags it works better with round nose bullets. Spitzers just don't work for some reason.

It might shoot better than you think. Get some moderate 220gr loads and try it out.
