OK all you SMLE experts:) Here's one for you. I have a .308 "Tanker" probably converted by Navy Arms judging from the markings. It will consistently shoot 1" groups with the proper hand load. ( really good rifle ). Problem is, the groups are about 12" high at 100 yds. Rear sight is bottomed out. The front sight blade is .280". Is there a high front blade? Is it available? Where?

Just for fun, when I run the numbers, rear sight true height in relation to front sight true height, the numbers indicate the rifle should be shooting just a little low. (Rear height 1.041" & front 1.098") Go figure.

Any ideas, help, etc. would be appreciated.

springfield sporters offers a five blade set for about 5-10 dollars or so they also offer individual blades but it is just a better deal to get all 5 at once.
