Maybe someone can explain what frosted grooves really means and what it effects as far as preformance ??

"frosted" means very light pitting it's effect on accuracy is minimal if any but it will make cleaning more difficult

also one man's frosted bore is another man's sewer pipe so it really depends on the seller's idea of "frosted"

I have never known what frosted was either. I figured it was one of of those anal-retentive terms some people like to use when referring to bore condition that was not perfect & not quit a sewer. I don't use the term frosted because it is so subjective. I just say it looks good kinda pitted, really pitted, or a Feces tube. Then again I'm not that anal.

When you have frost, you should know it. It looks like your bore is frosty, and may not shine very much, or really at all.
