Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Hello from from the Ouachitas

#1 Post by arky65 » Thu Feb 15, 2018 6:35 am

New to the site and a novice surplus rifle owner. Years ago I picked up a K31 and a M/N M44, have not played with them much though.
Hoping to pick up some insight on the above rifles.

Glad to have you here---as for getting info, "ask & ye shall receive". Lots of good RKIs (really knowledgible individuals) here that are willing to help.

When I lived in HS we had lot of military shooters at the monthly CMP shoots at MVSA. Are you a member out there?

Thanks for the warm welcome. Lugi not a member of MVSA? Yeah, Grunt the mountains around here are beautiful. Used to ride rice burners many many years ago. Now I ride the rapids on the Caddo river chasing small mouth.

Arky65, You’re already on a good path, starting off with a few great classics... the K31 and a M44. The Swiss rifle is my personal favorite and you will find that there is a wealth of knowledge here (and elsewhere), especially if this board regains its former glory and I have little doubt that it will, indeed! Congrats on your fine acquisitions and welcome!

Welcome to the madness that is milsurp collecting, realizing you have the problem is the first step toward recovery, buying more milsurps is the only known cure.
