Yep, a sported Spanish 93.
The bolt face should be flat on the bottom.
Made in 1894, or 1904, or 1914.

If you need a flat bottom 1893 Mauser bolt, let me know I have one.

if it is a flat bottomed bolt. it is probably a 1924 1893 mauser because they didn't start the side gas escape hole until 1921 (some beleive 1917 but the earlier ones observed look like 2 holes drilled side by side) unless it was a converted rifle. they made approximatly 475000 of these in 1924 and serial # 20 84xx is a confirmed 1924 dated mauser so your 20 xxx would fall within that range. 29" barrel, flat bolt, side vent hole, with no thumb cut out are all consistant with a 1924 model year. note there are a significant number of 1893's cut down to 22" barrels all so far observed are sporterized and current belief is they were cut down to make them more saleable in the u.s. sometime in the past. most have cut down military stocks but there are a few with "sporter" stocks. easy way to tell between a bubba cut down and a "official cut down" is the crown and step for the front sight. yours looks like a 29" barrel but i can't tell for sure so i thought i would include the extra info  . just my .02

Thanks for the added info. I think I will take up Oscar on his offer he made me on the bolt. This way I will be able to give a working rifle to a friend.
