Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

#1 Post by indy1919a4 » Sat May 04, 2019 3:42 pm

Help ID this Badge on some BAR Bandoliers .. Picked up a couple of 1918 BAR Bandoliers today. Do not know if they are Repro or not. They are not marked on the back anywhere. But what got me was that both has this pin placed it one of the flaps.. Anyone see this before??

At the front has the quality reproduction BAR belts, see this link; US on the flap:
https://www.atthefront.com/WWII-BAR-Belt-p/usgbbar.htm
IMA reproduction belts see
https://www.ima-usa.com/products/u-s-ww ... atic-rifle

Your belts certainly look too clean, any mold smell, oxidation on metal---patina on metal is newish??? No stampings or dust from storage or smell??????

See this for close up views of details on an original BAR belt:

Note the patina on the metal parts:

Now, its not a belt, It is a Bandolier, minor point, but no real oders.. Fairly clean.. I mean I will not take them to bed with me tonight.. (Brides orders) But would not object to carrying a ham sandwich in them. One storage point, when these came out they had been Empty, folded up and stored in plastic bags.
