Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

If I were to imitate an annoying frenchman...can I shout "Le Mas"! like you pronounce the 24 hours of "Le Mans"? I would like to. (annoying french laugh)

The proper name is "24 heures du Mans" and by the way what is "annoying" in a Frenchman ?

just shoot it proudly since it's a very well made French rifle but keep in mind it'sbeen modified to fire .308 Nato by cropping the barre,l mainspring and forearm, its original accuracy may have been reduced by a bad barrel thread re-machining (no more shoulder at the barrel to receiver joint).
so it's best just to behave yourself (like a Frenchman would do) and shoot it as efficiently as you can.
