Nice build.
That stamped handguard will keep your off hand warm in the winter too after a bit of Rapid Fire!

I'm fully aware of what metal hand guards are like Tommy but, that's what came with the kit and I've been without a FAL for several decades so that's what I had. IMHO, this was purchased from Germany after they adopted the G3(the wood butt stock is very long for a Chilean Indian and Europeans are much bigger stature) and yes I know what Blake said in his book about Chilean contract, although I don't own them($175 retail).

Nice FN FAL G-1! But the muzzle device is wrong for a G1. Chilean? I thought they all went From West Germany to Turkey. Unless they went straight from FN to Chilean military.

Burner, I bought this as an advertised Chilean kit from Sarco, maybe you should contact them? I never mentioned but, my thoughts were it may have been purchased from Germany after they were denied license to produce they're own FALs?

The Chilean kits are totally different than the G1 rifles. The G1’s were made specifically for the Germans. These Chilean rifles were more like the Cuban rifles that FN sold to the Bautista Government before Castro took over. The Long FN flash hider is totally different than the screw-in removable G1 muzzle device. The G1’s also had Metal Handguards. I know some of the Chilean kits came with metal Handguards, but originally they had FN synthetic and wood Handguards.

It was the luck of the draw on the Chilean kits from Sarco. Some had them, but most did not.
