Gramps just recently pulled out an old Remington from the back of his garage and passed it on to me. Its a beautiful gun and shoots straight as a whistle. I'm considering adding a scope to it. I have seen mounts for actual Springfields 03A3, but the Remington has slightly different rear sights. Any suggestions on which mounts to buy?

The rifle is a

US Remington
Model 03-A3
Serial Number 3460786

Thanks

Has it been sportarized? If not please don't drill and tap the rifle, it will lost much of its value. I suggest you insert a s&k mount as it dosn't require drill and tap. Personally, i'd get the scope mount and an old Lyman Alaskan and make a repro 1903a4 sniper out of it, but that's just me

nah, I had no intention of drilling or tapping the rifle. I'd love to make it a repro, Gramps even gave me his old Weaver Scope. Where can I pick up a s&k mount for my Remington?
