I see an AK Variant below the wooden box (and likely a pile of them) and a Mosin-Nagant just under that P-14 / M1917.

The Vietnamese were armed with a lot of allied weapons during WW2 to fight the Japs. It was apparently not unusual to run across US or British equipment. My wife's uncle had a good friend killed by a US M1 Carbine in VC hands.

Anything could turn up. We captured 1903s. 1903A3's M 1917's carbines and Garands as well as most Japanese, Chinese and French weapons. Many had been stored for years and showed the results.

For those interested, the top crate appears to contain 12 lb Satchel Charges, and the bottom contains 81 MM mortar rounds w/ fuses...all American made

thanks all for the info,I didn't think they had so many different weapons !!! ammo supply must have been a nightmare !! but I guess they had lots of very old stashes left from WW2 that they turned against their former allies.
