Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

1858 Remmy

#1 Post by shoggoth80 » Sat Jul 15, 2017 9:37 pm

So with the adventure of the broken Colt... I got a refund, and turned it into a new Pietta 1858 Remington clone. Picked up 100 ball and wonder wads... And still $20 ahead. Big iron indeed.

I got an older Pietta 1858 and so far I like it more than my Pietta 1860 Army. I think the frame and screwed in barrel make it feel more substantial. Both shoot very nicely, though the 1860 shoots much higher than point of aim.

I love my '58. Had this one for 20 years! It's also a Pietta.
