While my PSL did not seem to start throwing shots really wild when hot, I did notice the effective 'cone of fire' (read up on Jarhead, a phenomenal Highpower rifle shooter) seems to open up some, but only after extended fast firings, but she still was < 1-minute of a baseball w/ that Tula light ball load, maybe to ~4"+ w/ good mil-surp rounds.

Anyway, I've always been intrigued by cryogenics, so I sent my PSL barrel out and got the barreled-action done to -300-degrees F for only $60. Hell, I have spent and wasted MORE money on LESSER things!

Once I get her reassembled, I'll "test drive" with the new stock set (also to be pillar & glass bedded) and scopes, as I have the 8x42D Pro POSP on a Weaver-type mount, as well as the 3-9x POSP side-mount it came with to try out ...

Interested in your cryo results. I have always wondered if it actually improves accuracy, etc or is just another fad--

Pls keep us posted--while I lack the mechanical ability/patience to do such work, it is
enjoyable to see what others can accomplish with a bit of ingenuity and hard work!
