Hey all-

can anyone tell me if these are Wieger magazines? They just say that they are german steel .223 mags. I contacted Century, but they couldn't tell me either way - the guy had never heard the term Wieger before.

??

A few years ago I bought some Weiger mags from IO and they were not marked in any way. Real deal or not, I don't know, but they worked really well in my SAR3. Would not fit in AK84S Norinco. My.02

I could be wrong, but they are probably Yugo M95 5.56 mags. They have been coming into the country lately. Weiger mags have been relatively hard to find. I've read that those mags only work in the M95 :?: . Don't know first hand if it is true or not.

Those are the famous high-dollar Century Weigers.

High dollar, eh?

Problem is, they're the only place I've seen any German .223 AK mags advertised. They have Romanian used ones a little cheaper (12.95), but from what I've read on these forums (thanks to all for all the great info, BTW), the Weigers are the way to go, reliability-wise.

Just wasn't sure if these are they.

Is that Century price ridiculously high? Does anyone else know of any other outlets that sell these more reasonably?

It's not that they're ridiculously high (you get what you pay for, and Wiegers are great), but Century requires a $75 minimum order (which a lot of people don't want to pony up for).
