Check your PM's. Everyone who contacted me on this forum about them should have them by now.

OK, so 4 years later I'm bringing this back to the top because I'm looking for a set of those Lee dies. Anybody have a set they no longer need?

What does it take to get a "Group Buy" going?

Try to get together 25 folks that want a particular set of dies, in this case 7.62X45 Czech, collect all the money and send Lee Precision a check then wait....

Last I read their setup charge was $125.00 but it's waived if the order is for 20 or 25 sets, can't remember which. Otherwise less than the required number the setup charge is divided by the number of sets ordered and added onto the price.

As far as custom work right now this is Lee's statement.

Custom Services

"Due to unprecedented order volume, we are suspending all custom work until we are able to meet the required volume of our standard products. At present, it appears to be spring of 2013. "

Well, I did hear back for Lee, once, asking which dies, Pacesetter 2, Standard 3, or deluxe 4 die set, but nothing since I e-mailed them back.

Looking at Lee's site, with the amount of their inventory that's out of stock, and given the political climate at this time, we would probably be looking at close to a year before Lee could even think about taking any "custom" orders.

Last lead time I saw for custom group buy moulds was pushing a year, nine months at the least, so we'd be looking at a year and a half or better for dies, plus getting the 20-25 orders it would take for them to waive the setup charge.

I "got lucky" and found a 7.62X45 sizer die body and can use the X39 seater die when I finally get started making brass.

I went to Lee's site to check and they are now saying January of '14... I'm surprised that neither Sellier and Bellot or PPU make ammo or components for this round. I know that there were about 8000 of these rifles imported here a decade or so ago... which tells me there are a bunch out there that are not being fired...

I just picked up a Vz-52 that is in very good condition and want to load for and fire it... If January gets pushed further out, I'll get the reamer and make a set... this is nuts.
