Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

I have heard they were pretty good about fixing things. Others could learn a lot from Hi-Point's customer service.

Their customer service is often said to be outstanding.

They have a lifetime- no questions asked - guarantee regardless if you are the original purchaser or not.

I have their 9mm version of that rifle and whilst a little ungainly in the hand (although I made it balance better by removing all the ‘tacticool’ crap off it) it is, however, EXTREMELY accurate! Offhand at 50-yards I can shoot racquetball sized, ~2” groups for 10-shots.

Everyone at the range kind of laughs at it ... at least until they shoot it. At 1/3rd the price of the Beretta Storm, it is 3-times the rifle IMHO.

I have the 45 version of that, it is strong as an ox, the stock allows one to carry extra magazines on it, can carry 5 magazines with it at one time, it is as heavy as an ox, It looks like an ox... I do not take the best of care of it , I have feed it a lot of crap ammo over its life..

I do love mine for its utility.. And for the darn cheap price it cost..

But in this case, if I did this, I would have to toss the gun away and eat the expense because I would be so ashamed I did such a thing.

I have their carbines in 9, 40 and 45. They are reliable and fun little rifles. One of the them goes to range with me about every other time I go. I used to have one of their hand guns but didn't like it. That was one of the few guns I've ever sold. I doubt I will ever part with any of the carbines. I've never had to test their customer service but everything I've read or heard is that they are top notch. Made in the USA to boot.

If the shooter didn't see the giant fireball coming out of the ejection port from the burning powder escaping and not stop shooting seems fishy to me. Sounds like someone wanted to make a what if video.

Yeah, that's what I'm told. Though I've not shot any, I give a nod to Hi Points, especially when budgets are tight.
