Would it make any sense?
So I have this previously sporterized 6.5 Jap that I bought from a board member about 12 years ago. Shot it a time or two, but it really is not quite finished, although it has potential.
The metal has been very nicely blued, barrel cut to sporter length, basic iron sights installed. Pretty nice wood stock, good finish, but not completely fitted to action properly. It has a bent bolt, forged, way too short and not ready for a scope.
Aside from the question of re-chambering to .260 Remington, 6.5 Creedmore, etc., I would need to finish it up and D&T for scope mount, install scope. A new trigger would be necessary to finish it up.
Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.
