another part of my last delivery was this Mauser manufactured P38.
I have made quite some pictures to show all the markings but some are struck quite lightly. At least nobody has messed around with them as you can find on a lot of weapons in Europe from this era (the swastika is a forbidden symbol and therefore on many pistols they have been peened out
I have checked the P38 carefully and it seems to be 100% original. All numbers match, all parts are marked as they should be, the black Polyamid-6 grips are correct for late war Mauser P38's and the magazine marked with "jvd" and WaA 706 is correct for this period too.
One thing that I still need to find out is the strange marking at the back, normally hidden by the grips. It is a "3" preceeded by something that could look like a misaligned "L". I haven't seen that on other P38's I think
Slowly my P38 collection is getting somewhere
