I got this from Allen's Armory this week and it looks to be the nicest surplus pistol I have purchased. Serial number is 707XXX and the slide is dated 1951, all numbers match. And it comes in an original CZ box! I have not shot it yet but the barrel is bright and shiny with sharp rifling

Great looking gun and holster :thumb: - I didn't see them listed on his site, do you think he has any more?

He sold out the day he listed them. I think he had maybe a dozen total. I get his heads up emails and by the time I got to the site, one was already sold. Amazing to find these guns new in box.

I have two 70's, one with a little finish wear, the barrel chamber area is finished bright. The other one has about perfect blue, but looks a little buffed. The chamber is blued on the barrel. I was assuming that the barrel being blue indicated a refinish but I could be wrong, the nicer one is a few years newer than the slightly worn one. Now I just need to figure out how to reduce the DA pull.

By the markings, yours was mfg'd for export. Although some export models did get snagged for militay/police duty, the box would have been destroyed many moon ago.

Nice snag!

MAP -

Just saw your post. I got one also and pretty pleased. The end of your slide looks a little nicer than mine. My slide looks like at the very end of the slide on both sides there could have been minor corrosion that was reblued. I can't be sure but the bluing is not shiny there. Is your slide similar to what I described or is it perfect?

Thanks,

Will

I've been thinking about getting one of these, if I could find one. Hoe does it shoot? If you have a CZ82, is it similar?

I got this pistol out to the range a couple weeks ago and ran 100 rounds of S&B 32ACP FMJ through it without any problems whatsoever. At 10 yards firing two handed without support, I could keep all shots within 4". It was very pleasant to shoot, very little recoil. The sights are pretty small even when compared to a CZ52. Throws brass like a 52 :)

I bought one of these from a private seller about a year ago and it is one of the most accurate pistols I own. I have been very impressed with it and I think these little CZ's are some of the most under-valued guns out there. If you see one, snag it.

Allan's Armory has both CZ 50's and 70's in stock at very good prices:

http://www.allans-armory.com/aaresult.php?PageId=50

Harrington products has firing pins for both I have one in my CZ 70 and it works great:

If you need parts for them Apex has a good selection:
