Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Looking for an estimate on price, german 1934 civil helmet

#1 Post by Charles Lipscomb » Sun Aug 25, 2019 5:35 pm

I am trying to raise money for a no 4 ( faux) mk 1 T sniper build.
I have a candidate for the build, a sportered no 4.
Just need the money part.
I have a 1934 civil model feldpolizi ( field police) helmet
Both decals are in great shape for an 80 year old helmet.
It was not set up for the alunminum comb , or the neck cape. So its not a firemans helmet.
The leather liner was abiut gone when i got it. And 30 years in between took care of the rest of it.
But the inner band though torn, is still there.
The only marking i could find inside seems to be a "T" in a diamond.
My head size is roughly 7 1/4, 7 1/2 when my hair needs a cut.
So this helmet would definetly be on the smaller end of the line. Especially with the leather head band intact.
I am trying to find a decent sale price. I spent a couple of days online looking, but nothing firm.
I know the civil model isn't tops with collectors, but it is in decent shape for being through a european war and all.
Any suggestions?

Out of the blue I'd say $200 + or -. No intact liner.
see this reference;
