After todays shoot at 200-500 meters match in the wind and cold with outstanding results by the clubs members, I will hold our first 2018 800 yard shoot.
It will be called " Gone with the Wind" shoot.
As you members know March will have winds up to 35 mph making placing your shots on the man silhouette very challenging.
We will be firing 20 rounds from the prone. The will be two classes, Open sights and scopes.
20 rounds for the match. Any shoot-offs will be done Standing. The impact sensing electronic flash will be used to indicate hits. Bring your spotting scope for aiding in calling the fall of shot.
This will be a good match for your " Kentucky Windage " skills.
Be safe and have fun.

We could have used your "flasher" today at the 500 Meter target...hard to hit, hard to see the hits!

The practice match at 800 yards today was amazing! The weather was perfect with bright sun and 60 degrees. The slight wind was easy to comp for;you guys did very well indeed. Diwan and Jorge shooting the Chillian 1912 /62 7.62x51mm Mauser rifles tore up the 800 yard man silhouette. Robbie and his 91/30 Sniper rifle and Dawson shooting his iron sighted 91/30 were getting constant hits. ammolab was doing his typical small groups with his 1903 Springfield. Patric and his .308 AK rifle showed us what an AK can do.
My Swiss 1911 rifle liked the new load and did it's usual job of keeping rounds on target when I did my part.
Welcome to the two new members Holt and Paul. Than you for spotting for us and sharing your shooting skills.
We will hold another practice next Saturday. Bring other rifles to try out! A Rifleman can shoot any rifle he holds.
Bravo Zulu to all members.
