Just bought 8lbs of Surplus WC867 from Wideners for $39 (will pick up at store to save HM fees). I'll be loading this in my 7mm Rem Magnum. AA8700 is the recommended load data to be used for this powder (I'll start low and work up). The cost savings to use it is as follows:

IMR4350 (the powder I presently use) cost per round = .19 per round (59.2 gr of powder per rnd)
WC867 (surplus) cost per round = .06 per round (est. 80 gr of powder per rnd)
Cutting the cost of powder about 67%

Now here's the better deal, and supports the need to reload (or proves that reloading can save you a lot of cash if you shoot regularly).

Reloading (surplus powder) for 20 rounds
Powder: $1.20 (WC867), 80 grains
Bullets: $2.80 (blemished bullets from Midway - look brand new)
Brass: $0 (once-fired)
Primers: $.64
Total Cost: $4.64 for 20 rounds

Reloading (commercial powder) for 20 rounds
Powder: $3.80 (IMR4350), 59.2 grains
Bullets: $2.80 (blemished bullets from Midway - look brand new)
Brass: $0 (once-fired)
Primers: $.64
Total Cost: $7.24 for 20 rounds

Commercial Ammunition (prices from MidwayUSA) - 20 rounds
Anywhere from $27.00 (on sale) to Premium Cartridges (Norma) $68.00
$4.64 versus $27.00-$68.00!

Now that's a huge savings!

Anyone else using WC867 or WC872 for the 7mm Remington Magnum cartridge? If so, how's it shooting for you?
