Here's a pair that belonged to a rider from the Lazy S Slash Ranch. The maker is Allen.

The crescent moon and stars were popular spur decorations, perhaps because the oldtimers did a lot of night herding. Here is a pair by Adamson .

This pair by James Bass of Tulia, TX features lightning bolts, perhaps a reference to riding in all kinds of weather. That may also be the Texas "lone star".

Texans love their "lone star". They put it on everything, including beer. This is another Buermann pair.
