Help IDing Calvary Carbine

Friend on a non-weapons forum acquired this rifle. He's currently trying to ID it, and will try to clean it up some.

It appears to be a Cavalry Carbine due to the saddle ring and bar, but I can not find an example of it. I'm beginning to wonder if it might be a Bannermans job, but I don't know.

One thought mentioned is the rifle might be marked König Württ Fabrik, just can't find an example like this by them.

So any help is greatly appreciate.

Looks like a modified M1842 Austrian musket.

I do like the Saddle ring bar, any chance of a close up???.. Remember seeing a German made musket that was cut down and modified with a long bar like that.. It was rumored to have been brought in by the South during the Civil War and converted into Percussion. It had a long saddle ring like that one also.. I like it, it looks nice.. What caliber??

This is the best shot of the saddle ring bar he has thus far.

No Expert. Are there any stampings on the tang of the buttplate ? Is the buttplate brass or steel ? Might be Austrian or German. Check out Firepower from Abroad, might have the information you need, Cal. 69 ??
