Just found this great site this morning. My main interest is anything WWII, I love M1 carbines, American Combat gear and German helmets.

Welcome Aboard.
If you are able to post some pic's of your Arisaka in the Japenese rifle section of the forum, the members there would be more then happy to get you as much info as they can.

Found your site, I have two mil-surp rifles. 7.35 Terni, stamped 1939 and a 7.62 Enfield stamped 1965. the Terni has been "sportorized " by a previous owner, I'll need some pics on getting it back into original combat condition.(and I have original ammo boxes with it) the Enfield is in good shape. though the metal parts have been painted for heavens sake. I'm cleaning that up now. one quick question, will the .303 magazine work with 7.62 ammo? I've read enough about the enfield to know that 7.62 is not exactly .308 and I shouldn't get them mixed up. Any ideas?

If I remember correctly 2a and 2A1 magazines are different than the 303 version. You might want to ask this in the Enfield forum.

The magazine for the 2A and 2A1 are different and the magazine for the No1 and the No4 will not work.
ssporter.com should have the magazines for the 2A rifle.

I have been reading about refinishing stocks and have found some good info on my current project a Finnish M27. Hope this is the beginning of a long association. :thumb:
