I believe that CMI ( Checkmate Industries ) makes the magazines for Springfield Armory

The 8 I bought , were not "square" in a visual plane , they seemed warped length wise , almost crushed or pushed down , compressed and sideways , for lack of a better term , very hard to see in a dim lighted building, but I was a long way from Vegas when I checked them after feeding probelms later , so I have 1 good mag, plus the factory 5 and 10 rounders , lesson learned , what seemed like a good deal was not.

I have seen some Thermold M1a mags. Very cheap and don't fit well or function well. Stay away.

When did you buy your magazines?

I know they moved their factory from NC to AR in 2014 and have read some good reviews? I also heard the older ones were junk.

I dont and will not buy them. A buddy had two purchaced from cheaper than dirt. They did not work in his SA M1a. Checkmates are the ticket.
