Early Carcano Bayonet

Post by National Match »

Does any one have pictures of the early style WWI Carcano bayonet?
I don't know what its called or the model number but it's the kind that slides on from the side instead of front to back?
In particular I need pics of the locking mechanism on the handle, please.

Thanks!

Is the M1891 TS the one you are talking about?

AF1,

Thank you for sharing, that's a beautiful example. May I please request 3 to 4 close-ups of the locking mechanism?
I'm going to try to recreate the release button as I have the same bayo but someone, somehow removed the locking mechanism.

I very much appreciate the help!
