Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Very nice rifle. I too have taken a liking to the French MAS. I'm still looking for an all matching wartime MAS-36.

That's NICE, I don't have a Mas 36 YET !...................
Re: Another Mas 36
My only MAS 36 is an "M Series" 1946 which looks to have been thru a rebuild.
PPU sell the 7.5 french ammo. Fun to shoot...but NO SAFETY!

No need for a safety on a bolt rifle. How many times has anyone ever used the safety on a Mauser or Mosinluigi wrote:My only MAS 36 is an "M Series" 1946 which looks to have been thru a rebuild.

I don't at the range but if you were hunting with this rifle it could be an issue. Leave the chamber empty and rack the bolt when you were ready to scare the animal off.capt14k wrote: ↑Thu Jun 28, 2018 2:47 pmNo need for a safety on a bolt rifle. Not sure if the french troops accidentally shot anyone? Wonder if they emptied the round in the chamber when the fighting was over?

For hunting safely, the bolt of the Mas 36 can be positioned in the "half cock position" over a live round, or closed on a live round with the firing pin released by pulling the trigger when closing it.luigi wrote: ↑Thu Jun 28, 2018 2:56 pmI don't at the range but if you were hunting with this rifle it could be an issue. Hi TazzieAzz
I paid $750.00 AUD about 3 years ago when these were thin on the ground.
