Since there is no Military History Section , I am posting this here.
Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

I love those Mauser bandoliers that has the flap over the back of the clip but the bullet tips exposed. But in the 3rd photo, the Boer with the Flag.. What the heck bullets is he sporting there?? They look real large.

Re: Boer War Photographs
I guess I like the original black & white. Like colorized movies it does not seem right. Still interesting. A nice web pagelink. That is one item, B & W steroview cards, of the Boar War I never see at sales. I wonder if there are Magic latern slide sets? I just checked since its ca 1900 there are sets of both, more common in England then the US. I guess that is why I never see them at auctions, antique stores or rummage fairs. A number of Magic Latern sets were hand colorized back in 1900. Some are sold on UK ebay. I am more into the Spanish American War sets. Those old set of both are some nice sources of photos.
To old to fight and to old to run, a Jar head will just shoot and be done with you.

The "bullets" are bottle necked case with a large rim. They could be a large Mauser cartridge or even captured Britt .577/450 cartridges.
