Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Swiss 1914 Saw Back
Picked up this Swiss Saw Back recently with the early leather scabbard.
Later versions had the full steel scabbard.
The muzzle ring is 14mm in dia so it will only fit the K11 and K31 carbines.

Re: Swiss 1914 Saw Back
Congrats on your acquisition - I think those are some of the most fearsome looking bayonets ever made.

Wow. that puts the willies in me looking at the screen.. How firm is that Leather scabbard, is it bendable? or is the leather just a covering for a metal inner body.. And like you need to be told
.. that whole set up is beautiful..

Re: Swiss 1914 Saw Back
These bayonets are quite large and heavy in comparison to many. Makes the carbine a little muzzle heavy.
The quality of manufacture is up there with their rifles they are fitted to.
The main difference between the 1906 and 1914 is in the blade tip as you can see in the pics
The leather scabbard is quite rigid due to the rib stitched along the length and the thickness of the leather.
Yep, i would not like to be prodded with it.

Congrats! Those cost almost as much as the rifle some places.

You are right Zeliard, they are not a cheap Bayonets but well made.
I have a bayonet now for all my Swiss Rifles .
One that eludes me is the 1899 Crucible Bayonet.
