Stumbled across a shotgun for sale today. It was a Brolin Arms SAS 12 gauge, semi-auto.
Looked in great condition, black except for the receiver & mag well, synthetic stock.
From what I can understand they were imported from China, use a modified AK action & accept bernelli/baretta choke tubes.

Anyone had any experience with these? They wanted $250 but I can probably talk them down from that.

For what it is worth this is the Blue Book value on it.

thanks! Hmm, it seems to be about right then, maybe even a little less than the blue book value for it.

I've never owned a semi-auto shotgun (they've always been held in a certain amount of disdain except for bird guns when compared to pumps) but I would like a 2nd 12 gauge. Since it utilizes the AK's reliable gas system...this may be the one to buy! Plus, it just looks cool. :)

My biggest objection is the magazine, first it doesn't hold very many rounds and second finding a replacement may be tough if the one that come with the gun is damaged or lost.

Hmm, yeah, you've got a point there.

Looks like they used to sell for around $100 from CDNN, SOG & Century as little as 2-3 years ago. Made by Norinco. Not finding a source for magazines.

Here's a thread about one I found about one. The one at the shop looked the same except that it had a black stock on it.

If magazines were readily available & cheap I might look at it more closely, but I think I'll pass for now. Thanks for the replies!

There was one of those at the local dunhams for $169 on clearance, for what seemed like forever. I looked at it but the stock was so cheap feeling and I couldn't find much out about them so, I had to pass.
