Some 9x18 pistols

Post by scoobysnacker »

I posted this in another thread, singling out the CZ 82; but they all qualify as they were all Warsaw Pact issue.

Not the best quality photo, and I've since replaced a grip on the Hungarian (I found one without the thumbrest, that matched the right panel). In doing a little research on my PA 63, I BELIEVE that one went over to East Germany... I've read that those were darkened instead of left in the white. I foolishly traded away the matching Hungarian holster for a Bianchi LH made for a Walther... it fits exactly, and I'm a lefty. This was my second gun, and I bought it as just a shooter at the time. Ah well, those are the breaks.

P 64 (Poland), PA 63 Hungary, CZ 82 (Czechoslovakia), Makarov (East Germany)

So what do feed your herd? I've got a bunch of Silver Bear that works quite well. Only drawback is that the bullets will attract a magnet so indoor ranges here won't allow that stuff.

They're really not very picky :D
I've put a good bit of Brown Bear through them, Wolf, did some Fiocchi and Geco brass when things got tight. Academy stocks Monarch, which definitely appears to be Brown Bear (same head stamp etc).

I have some Silver Bear HP stashed.

My local range of choice doesn't fuss about ammo, they let us shoot all manner of stuff. Probably could bring tracers in, if I wanted. Of course I have shot surplus 7.62x 54R, 8mm Mauser, etc there.

I'm pretty happy with the other calibers of Geco ammo that I've tried so I'll get some in 9x18 to have on hand. Now I really need to get a Makarov to go with my CZ 82.

Nice collection. You need a P83 to round it out
