Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Yes that's (only) for a No1. The screw thread is different & so is the offset for the old volley sights.
IIRC you'll have a hard time getting one for the No4, because they were discontinued during the No1 era. The only ones I can think of are the old Turkish stacking rods.

Re: Who has a stacking swivel for a No. 4 Mk1
The correct term is a piling swivel not stacking swivel, the piling swivel was done away with around the time of the introduction of the No4, the trials No4s were fitted with a piling swivel but it was the narrow pattern which was introduced in the 1920s & not the offset type, the production No4s were never fitted with a piling swivel, the Turkish No4s were the only ones to be fitted with the piling/stacking rod, call that what you wish as i have no idea as to what they called it.

You are 100% correct.
It makes a huge difference if you expect folks to help if you use the correct terminology - another example being the tendency for Americans to use the incorrect term "stripper clip" when they mean "charger"
Lack of attention to nomemclature can result in some strange answers to questions - how many times do we see "SMLE No3 Mk1" when the writer actually has a "No1 Mk3"
