Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

New (to me) Ljungman

#1 Post by Calfed » Tue Dec 03, 2019 8:36 pm

Last month I saw a listing for a Egyptian Hakim...only I noticed it was a Ljungman.

I went by my FFL today and got a few crppy pics of it before starting the 10 day cooling off period. Stock has a few dents and gouges, metal looks good.

They are great rifles. They have an adjustable gas regulator.

Yes, the Ljungman does have a nasty bite, as well as a bark from the muzzle brake.

Rob: if yours has an adjustable gas valve, is it one that was added later? I've not seen one, and mine (1945 AG42b) is not adjustable.

If anyone needs a copy of the "owners manual", a pdf is attached.

Thanks, Guys. I was glad to get the Ljungman for Hakim prices.

I have a couple of other Ljungmans that I got years ago. One of them was when I was on that trip where I visited you, Rob (2010?). I bought it for $500 from a guy in Albuquerque who had cleaned up at an estate sale. He had another one that he didn't want to part with. Also bought a K-31and 100 rounds of Norma 7.5x55 ammo from the guy for $150. He wouldn't tell me what he paid for the items, but implied that he had doubled his money on the items that he sold to me. He had a bunch of real nice stuff from that estate sale. Ahh, good times back when I had a C&R.

I've got two sons who are shooters, so I really need three :)

Thanks for the owner's manual, dmg
